I found this beautiful creature sitting on a low branch in my backyard yesterday. He just sat there. He let me talk to him and take pictures. I looked him up in my "Birds of Seattle and Puget Sound" book and found that he is a Cooper's Hawk. He was there for at least 40 minutes. By the end of it I was blubbering and then he flew away.
